Appearance of solution A 5.0 per cent w/v solution in ethanol (95 per cent) is clear and colourless.

Identification Test A Test B Specified test. The color disappears A 1-in-400,000 solution in isopropyl alcohol exhibits an absorbance maximum at 254 ± 2 nm.
Solubility It is slightly soluble in water. One gram dissolves in about 10 mL of ethanol and in about 20 mL of ether.

Shelf life, Storage and Packing
It should be stored in a segregated area in a cool and ventilated place away from combustible materials. Keep in a tightly closed container, sealed until ready for use. It is packed in 25kg or 50kg HDPE bags or drums as required.
