Solubility Practically insoluble in acetone, in alcohol and in toluene. It swells with water to form a suspension.
Alkalinity Specified test. No red color develops.
Chlorides Not more than 0.36%
Sulfates Not more than 1.0%
Heavy metals Not more than 20 ppm
Loss on drying Not more than 10.0%
Sulfated ash 10.0% to 20.0%

Shelf life, Storage and Packing
It should be stored in a segregated area in a cool and ventilated place away from combustible materials. Keep in a tightly closed container, sealed until ready for use. It is packed in 25kg or 50kg HDPE bags or drums as required.
